How Does Your Garden Grow?

Leah VanHooseComment

Those first spring days when you can still feel the warmth of the sun despite the chill of the wind.  Digging in the dirt is the best chore for those days.  I love everything about it.  Warm sunshine, how my my muscles feel working in the garden, dirt under my finger nails and new life waiting to grow so we can harvest our own little bit of sunshine.

Seeds sit in wait for the right formula to inspire growth.  A combination of elements when brought together make magic happen.  All you need is sun energy, water and soil.  The energy that transforms that little seed into a vegetable transfers to you when you eat those vegetables.  So just think of the magic you are putting in your body when you eat your veggies!

We have planted lettuce, spinach, broccoli and cauliflower, kale and collards.

Tiny seedlings of tomatoes and peppers, cucumbers and peas are growing strong in the house waiting for a little more warmth to move outside.

I have big plans for these plants for I'm going to add a little magic of my own transforming them into pickles and relishes, soups and sauces.  Oh dear sunshine, keep your magic coming!
