My journey to fitness started one day in 2006. I was getting fat and I was sick of it. So I ran. What else do you do when you have no idea what to do, start with the easiest thing possible, well, if you consider running easy, It's simple, one foot in front of the other. Of course I had to make it harder so I signed up for a marathon. Not a half. A whole freaking marathon. 26.2 miles. During those long slow runs I learned a lot about myself and in turn I stopped worrying. It was a conscious decision. I remember it. I said to myself, "You are going to do, what you do, regardless of what happens so, why fucking worry about it?" It started me down a path towards getting fit, opening a gym, losing all of my hair and being quite alright with it. I realized something today about myself, I set really big goals and I do them. Might take me a long freaking time, but I do it. There is something to be said for perseverance. You end up getting what you want if you are willing to roll with the punches. Today, I hit that magical number I put in front of myself, 100 members in my gym. It feels so good. Looks like it's time for some new goals. I love progress.
By the way, Crossfit is great for the butt. I still can't believe THAT was my butt!!
