Beauty is in the Imperfection

You and I are not what we eat; we are what we think.

                                                                                           ~Walter Anderson

We all have this perception of who we are.  This what we radiate, this what others have to go on to form their opinions and judgements of you.  Most times we are completely unaware of what we are "putting out there".  How do you perceive yourself?  Do you call yourself names?  Feel bad about a certain piece of yourself?  Do you hide from what you see as imperfections?  This is what others are reading.

Beauty is in the imperfection.  It's embracing it and making it your own.  Others can only make their assumptions on how you appear to them.  Are you confident?  Keep your head held high?  Or do you avert your gaze and look down?  Do you constantly apologize?  Do you realize you are telling people you are sorry.  Most times you can't even answer what you are sorry for.  Unless you kick someone in the shin you probably don't need to be apologising to them.

Changing your opinion of yourself can sometimes be hard work.  But only you can do it.  You must know each one of us is special and have something to contribute to this thing called life.  You mean something, really you do.  Treat yourself with respect and others will too.
